Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position is located within the Mid-Atlantic Distribution Center is responsible for unloading and loading of fruit at our warehouse. The incumbent provides a wide variety of support to the entire DC. This includes discharge and receiving of product. The successful candidate will he/she must be forward thinking, organized, efficient and self-motivated to complete responsibilities in a timely manner without direct instruction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Unload and load product as directed by manager/supervisor.
Start gen set/reefer container units and confirm proper operation for loading outbound orders.
Inspect fruit inbound and outbound for pulp temps and proper color spec.
Daily use and inspections of Forklifts.
Ensure compliance with corporate food safety guidelines. This includes training and knowledge of GMP and HACCP/Food Safety guidelines and the application of these guidelines in day to day activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma required.
English preferred/Spanish a plus.
Forklift experience is a plus.
Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
Strong Analytical skills.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment, including cold storage areas.
Ability to lift up to 50 Lbs. banana boxes up to 80" off the ground 80-140 times per day.
Incumbent may stand for long periods of time.
Incumbent may use calculators, frequent use of basic math is mandatory.
Stooping, bending, twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
