Nexus Employment is currently hiring for a Batch Maker for a Manufacturing facility located in Portage, Indiana.

Pay: $19.50- $20.50

Shift: 1/2/3

POSITION SUMMARY

• Responsible for gathering, weighing, and mixing all necessary ingredients per recipe supplied by the customer.
• Cooking of ingredients to finalize a finished batch for production use.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and understand batch records.
• Gather and weigh/measure the necessary ingredients following the recipe.
• Understand how the system is used for batching heated / non-heated products.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks on equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all batching equipment and machinery.
• Count tag and return all raw materials back to the warehouse.
• Identify and alert management when critical quality issues occur.

Background/Experience

• Previous batch mixing helpful
• Computer Knowledge to operate PLC of batch mixing operation helpful
• Manufacturing background helpful
• Strong verbal and written communication skills helpful
• Ability to work well in teams and independently
• Must be self-motivated
• Intermediate math skills
