Job Description

SUMMARY

Manages overall daily operations of a service center in accordance with Allied Lube & Jiffy Lube Policy and Procedures, to ensure optimum performance, inventory, cash, and labor control, and to maximize profitability. Also, to ensure the image of service center and its employees is maintained, while exceeding our customer’s expectations and protecting company assets.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

The Store Manager will recruit, hire, train and supervise quality employees to exceed our customer’s expectations and develop employees, to aid them in seeking additional opportunities, within Allied Lube. (See the job descriptions for each store position for more specific details.) In addition, the Store Manager will perform these same duties.

General functions that include but are not limited to: Complete all required computer-based training and other on the job training including Store Manager training, enforce attendance, safety, uniform, and various additional company policies, attend and/or conduct store safety and

policy meetings.

Curbside Marketing duties that include but are not limited to: Hold advertising signs, pass out flyers and/or engage in any other form of curbside marketing outside of the store location, to safely and enthusiastically attract additional guests.

Store Manager -Duties that include but are not limited to:

Customer Service:

  • Interactions with customers
  • Execution of marketing and customer experience programs
  • Reinforcement of no handles policy
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and/or warranties to company standards

Manage Customer Flow:

  • Floor Control – Manages team to optimize bay times
  • Enforces the execution of JTSS standards

Site Operations Requirements:

  • Accountable for the timely opening and closing of service center, based on Allied Lube company policy.
  • Accountable for delivering deposits to the bank by 12:00 the following business day Monday through Saturday
  • Maintain the maintenance of the building, equipment and grounds, including the air compressor, HVAC, flooring, bay nets, oil/water separator, interior and exterior lighting, dumpster area, sump pump, waste oil system, tire rotation lifts, overhead doors, etc.
  • Management of schedule to ensure labor guidelines are met
  • Provide leadership and direction to his/her employees
  • Management of downtime to include but not limited to; CBT training, hands on training, role playing, housekeeping, maintenance and landscaping

Inventory Management:

  • Accountable for accurate weekly inventory audits and end of month inventory counts
  • Accountable for accurate ordering, receiving, and maintaining control of inventory
  • Accountable for proper processing of paid out for inventory purchased from local vendors
  • Accountable for understanding Cost of Goods Sold

Employee Development:

  • Ensure all new hire paperwork is filled out correctly
  • Ensure all hourly employees clock in and out, in accordance to company policy, and state and federal guidelines
  • Ensure proper staffing, training and employee development for optimum utilization of personnel and turnover management
  • Actively pursues opportunities to provide informal rewards and recognition
  • Confront unacceptable performance, hold teammates accountable, and utilize appropriate teammate performance management techniques, when necessary.

HSSE:

  • Always wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), leading by example
  • Provide safety and environmental leadership for all store personnel, with thorough knowledge of lockout / tag out procedures, how to use the Material Safety Data Sheets, Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasures (SPCC) plan, the company Policy and Procedures manual, and OSHA & EPA resources and compliance. Be prepared to provide swift and accurate direction to teammates or guests who may become injured on the job and report all incidents no more than 24 hours after the occurrence.

  • Communicates performance expectations and results with store staff

Store Administration:

MANAGEMENT / SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position requires only those individual(s) who are determined, goal oriented and results driven, with clear expectations, that delegates effectively, maintains an open door policy and can communicate effectively with all team members; This individual must also follow up on all issues (in a timely manner) conduct monthly staff meetings, hold subordinates accountable, address unacceptable performance and discipline appropriately.
