Job Description

We are looking for a talented School Nurse (RN) to join our team for the school year.

• In-Person
• Grade Level: 6 - 8
• Estimated Caseload: Middle School, approx. 200 students

Hourly Rate Range: $40 - $49 per hour

Responsibilities would include:

• Provide health assessments, first aid, and emergency care for students and staff.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician and school guidelines.
• Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies.
• Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis) and report findings.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators on student health needs.
• Maintain accurate health records in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), and HIPAA regulations.
• Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Ensure compliance with state immunization requirements and health policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN) from an accredited program.
• Current Illinois RN Licensure (Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation - IDFPR).
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Nurse Endorsement (required for public school nurses).
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
