Job Description: Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Emergency Room (Nights) Location: Temple, TX 76502 Shift Schedule: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM Duration: Permanent Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Pay Range: $32/hr - $53 per hour Responsibilities: Provide nursing care in a 20-bed Pediatric ER for infants, children, and adolescents.
Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Child Life specialists.
Educate patients and families on treatments and discharge instructions.
Respond to pediatric trauma and emergency cases in a timely manner.
Obtain TNCC and ENPC certifications within the first year; complete triage training within 2 years.
Skills/Experience Needed: Experience working in a Pediatric Emergency Room or trauma setting preferred.
Knowledge of pediatric trauma care and emergency nursing standards.
Familiarity with pediatric specialized equipment and child-friendly environments.
Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and healthcare teams.
Proficient in electronic medical records and documentation.
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN) — Required.
Certifications: Current and active RN license in Texas — Required.
BLS Certification (American Heart Association) — Required or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
TNCC & ENPC certifications — Required within first year.
COVID-19 Vaccination — Required per facility policy.
