Job Opening: Registered Nurse – CVRU / Step-Down  

Location: Cooperstown, NY 13326 
Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks (Extendable) 
Shift Schedule: 36 hours per week | 12-hour Day Shifts (3x12s) 

Unit Details  

• Beds: 6 | Census: 6–12 daily | LOS: 2–6 hrs average 

• Procedures: PCI, TAVR, LAAO, vascular, IR, pacemakers 

• Acuity: Step-down care with occasional ICU-level interventions 

• Staffing: 1:2 RN-to-patient ratio with unit clerk support 

Position Summary  
The RN will be responsible for managing patients recovering from cardiovascular and interventional procedures, ensuring safe transitions of care in a dynamic unit. Strong clinical judgment and adaptability are essential. 

Responsibilities  

• Care for pre- and post-procedural patients in a high-volume recovery unit 

• Manage cardiovascular interventions and advanced therapies when required 

• Administer medications and monitor recovery progress closely 

• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and clinical records 

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless patient care 

Qualifications  

• ASN required 

• BLS & ACLS (AHA) certifications required 

• Step-down RN experience required; ICU experience preferred
