About Us

We are reinventing consumer credit. We wildly reduce the cost of capital by using technology to easily tap into people’s assets. Our first product is the world's cheapest credit card – backed by home equity. Using many patented technologies, we sped up a process that usually takes 4-6 weeks and thousands of dollars down to as fast as 15 minutes and $0 to get.

Who are we?

We are a well-capitalized (over $250MM in equity funding) team of technology (Square, Microsoft, Facebook) and finance (Discover, CapitalOne, Goldman Sachs) executives with top-tier investors – Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, Max Levchin, NYCA, Sequoia, SciFi VC, Caffeinated Capital, etc.

Our team includes people who have built:

• Financial products (Square/CashApp, the earliest CapitalOne credit cards)

• Consumer products ( Internet.org , Xbox)

• Technology infrastructure (Visual Studio, Windows & Azure, helped design the C++ & C# languages)

• Mathematics & science infrastructure (computational research at NASA’s JPL)

Job Description

As a Product Designer, you will be at the heart of bringing innovative consumer products to life, both strategically and visually. You will bridge the gap between our business, engineering, and customers to create the most impactful and elegant product. You will lead all design efforts for our core products and help grow the team in the future as we scale. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Design and Co-Founder. We are looking for someone with incredible talent who wants to push our team's creative focus and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Fully own projects from ideation through release

• Work with senior leadership on the most challenging initiatives at the company and contribute to the product's vision, strategy, and roadmap

• Communicate and clearly articulate the rationale for specific processes and product decisions both internally and to external partners

• Design compelling consumer marketing to accompany the products you are designing and launching

• Work across multiple product spaces and multiple complex tasks at once

• Partner with cross-functional team members to develop a world-class consumer product that best meets the needs of design, engineering, compliance, and our business

• Make difficult decisions with straightforward reasoning and precision

• Help build the design team culture

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience working in design or a related field

• Experience designing across multiple mediums (web, print, mobile)

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Expertise with design tools (Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

• Can work with a low-ego, highly collaborative, cross-functional team

• Excited about working in a fast-paced startup environment. Able to iterate quickly and effectively communicate your ideas

• Understands consumer behavior, eye tracking, and how to sell a product. It is one thing to design an incredible product experience, but you also need to be able to get people to want it

• Experienced design lead who drives business forward with impactful work

• Strong attention to detail and a keen visual sense

• Track record of successfully delivering high-quality end-to-end experiences or products

• Proactive and influential, with the ability to work independently and across disciplines

• Set high standards for precision and craftsmanship

• Empathetic towards customers, teammates, and our mission

• Self-motivated and excels in shaping product design with minimal guidance

• Skilled in designing user-friendly web, desktop, and mobile applications for diverse audiences

• Comfortable and knowledgeable in technical environments, including mobile and web development
