**Job Title: Printing Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to efficiently set up and operate a variety of machines, including polar cutters, to ensure high-quality production. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail to examine products for defects and perform necessary maintenance on equipment. **Responsibilities** + Interpret work orders to determine instructions and specifications for machine setup. + Set up and operate a polar cutter machine. + Examine stitched, collated, bound, or unbound product samples for defects such as imperfect bindings, ink spots, torn pages, loose pages, or uncut threads. + Set up, run, and adjust bindery machines and devices to accommodate sheets, signatures, or books of specified sizes. + Trim edges of books to size using cutting machines, book trimming machines, or hand cutters. + Stitch or glue endpapers, bindings, backings, or signatures using sewing machines, glue machines, or glue and brushes. + Inspect products to decide whether to accept or reject them to maintain the required quality level. + Perform daily and periodic maintenance on bindery/finishing equipment and assist in the repair and/or rebuilding of equipment when needed. **Essential Skills** + Mechanically inclined with experience in printing press and machine operation. + Proficiency in using bindery, polar cutter, and troubleshooting skills. + Experience in machine setup and flexography. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 2+ years of cutter machine operation experience preferred. + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. + Detail-oriented with the ability to follow written instructions. **Why Work Here?** Join a family-owned company that offers a strong benefits plan, including a 401K with a 3% match. The facility can vary in temperature when dock doors are open. It is a louder environment, yet well-lit and clean. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Bloomington, MN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.
