A data science postdoctoral research associate position is available in the lab of Dr. Christian Meyer Ideal candidates will have: • A Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, mathematics, biomedical engineering, or a related field. • Experience with coding software such as Python, R, or Matlab. • Familiarity with collaborative coding software such as GitHub and database management. • An ambition to make major contributions to the field of systems pharmacology by driving an independent research project • Strong communication skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented, interdisciplinary environment This position offers access to state-of-the-art computation resources available at St. Jude (HPC environment with 5.3 PFLOPS of power and 150 PB of storage capacity, link 1 below). Our work is highly interdisciplinary, integrating big data analysis, state-of-the-art machine learning models, mathematical modeling, and systems biology to elucidate the mechanisms of drug interactions in complex biological systems, with a particular focus on infectious disease and cancer. Candidates with experience in developing machine learning or mathematical models are particularly encouraged to apply.
