ATSS has a client in Mobile, AL looking for a NCCCO Pile Driving Crane Operator.
Pay: BOE
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime and weekend work as needed.
The NCCCO Certified Pile Driving Crane Operator is responsible for operating lattice boom crawler cranes or similar equipment to perform pile driving tasks in support of marine and industrial construction projects. This role requires precision in handling heavy materials, adherence to safety protocols, and coordination with rigging and site personnel to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
Essential job duties include:
· Operate lattice boom crawler cranes or other pile driving equipment to install piles for marine and industrial construction projects.
· Safely lift, move, and position materials such as steel, concrete, and timber piles.
· Interpret and follow load charts, lift plans, and site layouts.
· Conduct daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues promptly.
· Collaborate with riggers, signalpersons, and site supervisors to coordinate lifts.
· Ensure compliance with OSHA, NCCCO, and company safety standards.
· Assist with crane setup, breakdown, and transport as needed.
· Monitor ground conditions and adjust operations to maintain safety and stability.
· Maintain accurate logs of crane operations and inspections.
HSEQ Roles and Responsibilities include the following:
· Take an active role in compliance with HSEQ Management System.
· Actively participates in the HSEQ Meetings, Job Safety & Environmental Analysis (JSEAs), Work Observations, and Hazard Recognitions processes.
· May assist supervisor in carrying out equipment HSEQ inspections.
· Must report all incidents, including Near Miss incidents, to the Supervisor immediately.
· Maintain all safety training.
· Must abide by any/all local, state, and federal regulations and to company policy.
· Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001:2015 requirements by complying with the HSEQ Policy and procedures and meeting HSEQ objectives.
· Understand the implications of not conforming to the HSEQ Management System requirements and not fulfilling the organization’s compliance obligations.
· Understand appropriate actions to remove themselves from work situations that they consider present an imminent and serious danger to their life or health, as well as the arrangements for protecting them from undue consequences for doing so.
1.0 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience operating cranes in pile driving or marine construction environments.
· Valid NCCCO Crane Operator Certification (Lattice Boom Crawler or applicable specialty) required.
· OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
