Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mortgage Underwriter located in Fargo, ND. The Mortgage Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating and approving mortgage loan applications based on detailed risk assessment and analysis. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing financial documents, assessing borrower qualifications, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines, and communicating decisions to relevant parties. The underwriter will collaborate closely with loan officers and other team members to facilitate a streamlined loan approval process.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the mortgage industry, including mortgages and mortgage underwriting
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in underwriting processes
• Attention to detail and accuracy in evaluating financial documents
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with mortgage underwriting software and tools
• Experience in a similar role within the financial or mortgage industry is a plus
