Role Overview
Vitable Health is looking for a passionate and skilled Per Diem Mental Health Coach to provide flexible, one-on-one coaching and support to our members via our digital platform. This is a non-clinical role focused on skill-building and goal-setting with an expected commitment of 7-10 hours per week.
Responsibilities - Conduct one-on-one virtual coaching sessions with members to provide non-clinical mental health coaching and support
- Collaborate with members to identify personal goals related to mental wellness, such as improving coping skills, managing stress, or enhancing self-care practices
- Teach and reinforce practical, evidence-based skills for managing mental health challenges, such as mindfulness exercises, positive reframing, and communication techniques
- Collaborate closely with providers and support staff to ensure seamless, coordinated care
- Accurately document sessions and interactions in electronic health records
- Stay aligned with Vitable Health's policies and complete all required training
Candidate Requirements - 3+ Years providing mental health support
- Experience providing coaching services virtually
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, particularly those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds
- Strong understanding of evidence-based mental health coaching techniques (e.g., motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral techniques, solution-focused coaching)
- Deep empathy and cultural humility, with a non-judgmental approach
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related human services field.
- Certification or specialized training in mental health coaching, peer support, or a related field.
- Experience working in a startup or high-growth company
- Ideal candidate will be interested in scaling their hours as our company grows
