Are you a creative marketing professional who’s passionate about sustainability and wants to help protect the planet, one compost bin at a time? As Marketing Campaign Manager at Compost Crew, you’ll design and run multi-channel marketing campaigns that inspire communities and organizations to take action toward a zero-waste future. You’ll collaborate with our sales team to reach new audiences, drive growth, and expand Compost Crew’s impact across the DMV and beyond. From digital advertising to local events, you’ll turn big ideas into measurable results, and help bring composting into the mainstream. Hybrid schedule. Must live in DMV region. Annualized salary range $50K - $75K.
Key RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field or equivalent
At least 3 years of marketing experience, ideally managing integrated, multi-channel campaigns
Proven ability to plan, launch, and analyze marketing initiatives that drive measurable growth
Strong working knowledge of Google Ads, Meta, and social media advertising platforms
Familiarity with marketing automation, lead nurturing, and CRM tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Creativity, organizational skills and initiative
organized, and self-motivated — comfortable managing multiple projects at once
Enthusiasm for Compost Crew’s mission of sustainability and waste reduction
Resident of the DMV area, preferably within 50 miles of Rockville, MD
U.S. employment authorization
Master’s degree or coursework in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration
Experience in sustainability-focused, environmental, or mission-driven organizations
Working knowledge of SEO, content strategy, and lead nurturing best practices
Experience managing agencies, vendors, or creative freelancers for ad and design projects
Design and execute persona-based, multi-channel marketing campaigns for both B2C and B2B audiences
Collaborate with the sales team to move prospects through the buyer journey
Gather market insights to inform strategy and creative direction
Track campaign performance and provide regular reports with data-driven insights
Manage paid advertising across Google, Meta, and other social platforms
Oversee out-of-home and brand awareness campaigns
Ensure a consistent brand voice across digital, print, and event channels
Plan and execute a targeted event marketing strategy
Coordinate participation in community events, trade shows, and regional activations
Work cross-functionally to deliver an engaging and mission-aligned brand experience
Partner with internal departments and external partners to execute marketing initiatives
Stay on top of marketing trends, emerging tools, and creative opportunities to elevate the brand
Hybrid schedule
Occasional evenings or weekends for events
Travel for regional events and activities
