Job Summary

Sets up and operates production equipment to manufacture, process, and assemble various commercial products and substances. Uses product specifications, blueprints, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOP) to produce products. Monitors output for quality and conformance to required metrics. Prepares and maintains required records of production activities and reports any inconsistencies or equipment issues. Follows established guidelines for safe material handling and protective gear. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor.A01-Entry : Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Operates a CNC machine to fabricate tubes, rods, and components
• Operates a manual machine for fabrication.
• Reads mechanical drawings for components, tubes, rods and makes needed calculations
• Interprets instructions and responds to management’s direction
• Uses quality control equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers
• Ensures preventive maintenance is conducted as necessary
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Selects and uses appropriate equipment, supplies and tools
• Maintains equipment daily
• Follows safety and security policies and procedures and reports any unsafe conditions
• Maintains a clean work environment
• Adheres to Five “S” standards and procedures

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

Preferred

• • Experience in a production environment
  • Programming experience
