Job Description

Pay:  $135.00-165.00 per hour

Assignment Length: 

• Initial 6-month contract
• Potential to extend

Start Date:   February 2, 2026

Openings: 1

Details:  

• Inpatient, OR and Call coverage
• Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
• EMR: EPIC
• Credentialing: 45 days

Requirements

Education:

• Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program
  

Licenses & Certifications:

• Active and unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Ohio
  
• National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
  

Skills:

• Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients
  
• Proficiency in performing physical examinations and procedures relevant to their specialty
  
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to diagnose and manage complex medical conditions
  
• Time management skills to manage a patient workload efficiently
  
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a healthcare team
  

Experience:

• While specific requirements may vary, most locum PA positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty
  

Additional Notes:

• Locum tenens PA positions are temporary assignments, often lasting weeks or months, to address staffing shortages in hospitals, surgical centers or other healthcare facilities
  
• These positions offer competitive pay and flexible schedules, allowing PAs to pursue diverse work environments and control their workload

Travel:

If you reside greater than 50 miles from the facility you are eligible for travel benefits. You will have your travel and lodging arranged by our travel department and paid for in full.

Please note that this position is offered as an independent contractor (1099) role and does not include the typical benefits associated with a W-2 employment, such as health insurance, retirement contributions, or paid time off.
