Job Summary:
Jahnel Group, an Inc. 5000 company, is dedicated to providing a supportive environment for software creators. They are seeking a Junior Full Stack Engineer to join an early-stage team focused on building an AI-driven procurement platform, where the engineer will lead front-end feature development and contribute to backend APIs.
Responsibilities:
• Implements responsive, intuitive user interfaces using React and TypeScript, with a strong emphasis on component architecture and usability.
• Builds and integrates front-end features with backend APIs powered by NestJS/Node.js and PostgreSQL.
• Works closely with designers and product managers to translate requirements into functional and delightful user experiences.
• Writes clean, testable code and participates in peer code reviews. Contributes to automated testing initiatives using modern frameworks.
• Identifies areas for improving page load speed, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
• Participates in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives while learning best practices in agile software development.
• Receives mentorship from senior engineers and contributes to team-wide technical discussions and architectural decisions.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2–4 years of professional experience in front-end or full stack development
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience building web applications with React
• Familiarity with backend development using Node.js (preferably NestJS)
• Experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL
• Comfortable translating product requirements into high-quality code
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, startup environment
