Job Description

A friendly, outgoing HR Specialist is needed to join a small but powerful HR team. The successful candidate will handle employee inquiries and support the receptionist with walk-in applicants seeking employment. Additional duties include scheduling and performing new hire orientations in English and Spanish along with complete data entry of the new hire, changes, and terminations.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions and walk-ins
• Manage wellness initiatives and presentations.
• Conduct new hire orientations and onboarding.
• Maintain employee files and ensure accuracy of data in HRIS/payroll systems.
• Assist in the development, communication, and implementation of benefits policies and company policies and procedures.
• Support HR leadership.
• Support recruitment.
• Handles all unemployment inquiries and appeals.
• Assists with open enrollment.
• Manage message boards and various types of communication to employee base.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Human Resources
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interpret and explain policies to employees clearly.
• Bilingual Spanish a must.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems, and Canva
• Creative thinking is a plus.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
