Job Description
A friendly, outgoing HR Specialist is needed to join a small but powerful HR team. The successful candidate will handle employee inquiries and support the receptionist with walk-in applicants seeking employment. Additional duties include scheduling and performing new hire orientations in English and Spanish along with complete data entry of the new hire, changes, and terminations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions and walk-ins
- Manage wellness initiatives and presentations.
- Conduct new hire orientations and onboarding.
- Maintain employee files and ensure accuracy of data in HRIS/payroll systems.
- Assist in the development, communication, and implementation of benefits policies and company policies and procedures.
- Support HR leadership.
- Support recruitment.
- Handles all unemployment inquiries and appeals.
- Assists with open enrollment.
- Manage message boards and various types of communication to employee base.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interpret and explain policies to employees clearly.
- Bilingual Spanish a must.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems, and Canva
- Creative thinking is a plus.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
