Halcyon Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospice CNA Full Time to support our growing geriatric hospice population in Austin TX and surrounding areas. We offer competitive pay and wonderful team support.

Shifts: Tuesday Thursday and Weekends OR Wednesday to Sunday

Are you a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a heart for seniors and a passion for making a real difference in the lives of the patients you serve

Are you a charismatic communicator who has the gift of reading people

Do you love engaging with people and take pride in getting everyone taken care of

Are you a dedicated CNA with hospice experience (or experience in a related field and a desire to learn about home healthcare)

• Provides direct patient care to patient under direction of the RN and according to the Aide Plan of Care.
• Provides necessary skills to assist the patient with safe transfers and ambulation per the Hospice policy.
• Provides necessary skill to appropriately report changes and document pertinent information and care rendered to
• patient to ensure continuity of care.
• Practices accepted infection control principles. Provide a clean safe and comfortable environment.
• Promotes positive supportive respectful communication to patient/family and other employees.
• Provides an environment which promotes respect for patient privacy and property.
• Provides skills necessary to assist the patient with proper nutrition and adequate fluid intake.
• Contributes to the management and efficient operation of the Hospice and demonstrate effective time management skills.
• Provides skills necessary to perform treatments and procedures according to the Hospice policy.
• Promotes the Hospice philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.

Requirements

• Current CNA certification in Texas.
• Proven experience in hospice or senior care preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A kind and patient demeanor with a commitment to providing dignified care.

Payrate: $20 per hour/$25 per visit
