Job Description

Summary

The Teacher Assistant supports the teaching staff by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education.

Duties

• Build relationships with children through play.
• Assist with activities in the classroom.
• Support children's self-help skills with dressing, feeding, diapering and toileting, and cleaning up.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the classroom and center.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work well with others.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification (Applewood will pay for this training).
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.

Experience with young children is preferred, but there's no better way to gain experience than to join us!
