Position Summary:
Metzgers is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Digital Press Operator to join our Digital Operations team. This role is responsible for producing high-quality printed materials such as books, magazines, calendars, and directories. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain digital printing presses, ensuring customer specifications are met with precision and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain digital printing presses and related equipment.
• Prepare presses for production by loading paper and setting ink levels.
• Monitor print jobs for quality and accuracy, checking proofs and samples.
• Troubleshoot equipment and print issues to maintain workflow.
• Stack, pack, and palletize printed materials in various stages of completion.
• Review job specifications and prioritize tasks in coordination with customer service.
• Maintain accurate production records and communicate any quality or scheduling concerns.
• Work overtime when necessary to meet customer deadlines.
• Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Uphold confidentiality and company policies at all times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the printing industry.
• Strong preference for candidates with digital print experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with calculators and relevant technology.
