Tonti Properties is a leading real estate company founded in 1960 and headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The company primarily focuses on managing, constructing, developing, acquiring, and owning multifamily apartment communities throughout the Southeast and Southwest.
Tonti Properties is currently seeking a full-time Summer Intern . The Intern will be able to work directly with key professionals within the company, actively supporting the Capital Improvements and Development teams.
Requirements
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Understanding of basic construction and real estate terms and concepts
· Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and goal-oriented
· Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
· Possess a natural curiosity and passion for project management and functional design
· Have access to a vehicle and be able to drive to the office and to property locations (Mileage for offsite is reimbursed)
Responsibilities
· Assist in managing projects in design and under construction to ensure adherence to development policies and procedures
· Analyze existing market conditions, unit mix, property amenities and features, rental rates, and operational expenses at given properties to aid with creating improvement scopes
· Assist in the transition of the product from the construction department to the operations department
· Participate in consultant meetings
· Analyze the construction draw process and monthly project schedules to determine if projects are on schedule and within the approved budget
· Solicit bids and run pricing exercises for existing and potential projects
Education and Experience
· Undergraduate and graduate students with 2025-2027 graduations
· Demonstrated interest in construction, development, and/or real estate, either through past work experience or coursework
o Hands-on previous part or full-time construction and/or technical experience a major plus
· Construction Sciences, Engineering, Real Estate, Project Management, Design or Architecture majors preferred
