Job Title: Dental Assistant

Job Type: Part-Time (with potential for Full-Time)
Salary: $17.00

We are currently looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team.

Job Description:
As a Dental Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting our dentists and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. You will assist with patient care, prepare dental equipment, and manage administrative tasks to help maintain a well-organized office.

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, with two Saturdays per month.
• No Saturdays during the summer.

Responsibilities:

• Assist dentists during exams and procedures, including preparing materials and instruments.
• Sterilize dental instruments and ensure infection control protocols are followed.
• Maintain patient records and charting.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering patient inquiries and ensuring comfort during visits.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and administrative duties.

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Exceptional communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Experience in customer service or healthcare is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous dental assisting experience.
• Familiarity with Dexis (or similar dental imaging software).
• Familiarity with dental software and office management systems.
• Basic knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
• Bilingual is a plus.
