Cybersecurity Analyst (IAM / SOC / GRC)

Overview:
Seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to protect enterprise systems, clinical environments, and sensitive patient data. This role supports SOC monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance initiatives aligned with HIPAA and NIST standards.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and triage security alerts through SIEM tools; investigate incidents and execute containment and remediation steps.
Conduct vulnerability scans, validate findings, and coordinate remediation and patching efforts (Nessus, Nmap).
Perform packet and network analysis using Wireshark; conduct device-level checks using Cisco CLI/Putty.
Manage and support IDS/IPS (Snort), firewalls, web proxies, WAFs, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms.
Support IAM functions including access reviews, provisioning assistance, and identity governance.
Contribute to GRC activities, including audit preparation, policy support, and compliance documentation.
Prepare incident reports, participate in tabletop exercises, and assist with organizational risk assessments.
Required Qualifications:
3–5 years in SOC, cybersecurity, or network security roles within an enterprise environment; healthcare experience preferred.
Hands-on experience with Wireshark, Nmap, Nessus, Snort, Cisco CLI, Putty, and major SIEM platforms.
Working knowledge of HIPAA, NIST, OWASP, and SANS security frameworks and best practices.
Certifications preferred: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CASP+, CCNA/CCNA Cyber Ops; exposure to CISSP or GIAC certifications is a plus.
