We are looking for a Baker to join our pastry team who has a strong foundation of knowledge of the pastry arts with a minimum of 2+ years experience in bread making, buns, desserts, cakes, cookies and a variety of pastries in the industry.
Must be a self starter and reliable, taking pride in the work you do.
This is a full or part time position (25-35 hours/week) and will include weekends with hours from 3am to 11am on Fri - Sun and/or 3:30am to 12pm on Mon - Thurs.
Baking hours are between 3am to 12am depending on the day(s)
Pay is based on experience.
PublicUs (pūb-li-cus) is a canteen-style, neighborhood restaurant and Coffeebar located in the Fremont East District of Downtown Las Vegas. Our menu is built around seasonality and quality, and whenever possible, we use locally or regionally grown, raised, caught, and crafted products, from people who do those things with care. Since opening in March 2015, we have assembled a great Team of professionals and are looking to build upon that. We previously won America's Best Coffeehouse at Coffee Fest in Portland, Oregon and have also been recognized by various publications for our world class coffee program, food program and welcoming service.
This position also gets tipped out average of an extra $2.00 each hour worked, so working 60hrs for 2 weeks you would make 60 x 2.00 = $120 a 2 week period. There are also Tips from caterings and events if tipped.
