Full Steam Staffing is seeking a dedicated Baker to join our production team in Madera, CA.
Location: Madera, CA
Pay Rate: $17.75 – $18.75 per hour

About the Position
The Baker will be responsible for executing production schedules, setting and monitoring bake programs, and ensuring all baked products meet company standards for quality, safety, and consistency. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to food safety and GMP standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand, read, and execute the production schedule.
- Set bake program parameters (time, wires, oven speed, dwell time, temperature, moisture) according to recipes and product specifications.
- Continually monitor bake texture, color, and product quality exiting ovens and fryers.
- Accurately record production information, including oven control settings and baker sheets, and file documents appropriately.
- Report any malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
- Adhere to the operational and safety requirements of mixers, belts, ovens, fryers, and other equipment.
- Follow quality assurance, GMPs, safety, and company procedures in compliance with government regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including equipment, tools, scoops, containers, and floors.
- Ensure cutting units are properly placed and maintain accurate counts of blades, documenting as required.
- Contribute to maintaining and improving product quality, legality, and safety in all processes.
- Follow allergy awareness programs and procedures.
- Report any potential contamination or suspicious activity to a supervisor immediately.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in baking, food production, or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to follow recipes and production instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor product quality.
- Good communication skills; ability to read and write in English (bilingual Spanish a plus).
- Ability to work safely with ovens, mixers, and other equipment.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and moving materials (up to 30 lbs.).
