Job Description



AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for a talented Assistant Construction Project Manager for our large, state-of-the-art construction project in Chicago, IL. If you are looking to take your career to the next level with Hunt, apply today!

  • Assists the Project Management team with management administration on a small to moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a larger, more complex project, following set guidelines for tasks.
  • Employee receives clear and specific instructions and/or follows standardized instructions or procedures without ongoing supervision.
  • Employee consults with supervisor on matters not covered in the original instructions. • May interface with design team.
  • Works closely with construction project teams.
  • Assists with and monitors change orders.
  • Reviews project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract.
  • Works with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate.
  • Attends meetings and report on project tasks as needed.

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements:

  • BS Engineering, Architecture or relevant curriculum or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements:

  • BS Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management.
  • Experience from a large general contractor as an Engineer, Assistant Superintendent or Assistant Project Manager.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings/renderings.
  • Experience with construction documentation such as change orders, RFI. RFP, etc.
  • Experience with construction software such as Procore, E-Builder, CMiC, etc.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
