RN – Cardiac Neuro (Stroke Unit)
Location: Sanford, FL
Schedule: Days or Nights (Rotating Weekends)
Salary Range: $30.75 – $44.68 per hour (based on years of experience)
Night Shift Differential: $4.50/hour
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (Days) / $15,000 (Nights)
Relocation Assistance: Available case-by-case

This is a 26-bed unit with a strong interdisciplinary team, supportive leadership, and opportunities to advance your clinical knowledge in neuro/stroke care and telemetry.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan, coordinate, and evaluate patient care
Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage IVs
Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions
Support stroke and neuro patients in both med/surg and telemetry settings
Unit Details:
Unit Type: Stroke/Neuro and Medical-Surgical
Nurse/Patient Ratio: 1:6
Charting: Meditech
Equipment: GE telemetry, bladder scanners, Baxter IV pumps
Strong culture of teamwork, learning, and mentorship
Must Have Requirements:
Active RN license in Florida or compact state (or eligible)
Minimum 1 year recent acute care Med-Surg or Telemetry RN experience
(Rehab experience from Kindred, Encompass, HealthSouth, or Select Specialty may be accepted if recent and stroke care–relevant)
Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma
BLS – must be obtained within 30 days of hire
ACLS – must be obtained within 6 months of hire
NIH Stroke Certification – must be obtained within 30 days of hire
Preferred Requirements:
BSN
Prior Stroke/Neuro or Stepdown/Telemetry experience
