Lepra India Trust

The Lepra Trust is a well-known non-profit organisation based in Delhi. The NGO is supported and run with the help of Mr. Chawla’s royalties from the foreign editions of the Mother Teresa book. The Trust provides vocational training, healthcare facilities, and employment opportunities to disabled youth, leprosy patients and their families. Due to his keen interest in the leprosy condition, Mr. Chawla even wrote a report called "The Vocational Rehabilitation and Social Re-integration of the Leprosy Affected in India" that was released by Mother Teresa in 1987.

The Trust also helps children suffering from various levels of hearing impairment and provides skill training and overall development to them. The foundation of the Trust is based on the ideals of Mother Teresa and her invaluable lessons on brotherhood, compassion, unconditional love and service.
